Summary:
Build 02.21 is now live as the next Fracture Engine: Arena public-test build. This update focuses on first-run clarity, laptop-resolution support, compatibility, and preparing the game for structured external feedback.
Highlights:
- New HUD Compact Mode keeps the full Sector HUD visible at 1366x768 and 1280x720.
- CSS-scaled Canvas input now preserves accurate cursor aiming.
- New First-Run Onboarding explains movement, cursor aim, auto-fire, Sector Signals, Sector Travel, and risk/reward cells.
- Public Test Guide, Bugreport Template, and structured feedback questions are now available.
- Chrome and Edge were verified across common desktop and laptop resolutions.
- Firefox showed no reproducible gameplay blocker during the final readiness pass.
Testing & Stability:
- Loader, Core Menu, Settings, Run Start, Level-Up, Pause, Sector Events, Game Over, Feedback, and Debug-Run protections were rechecked.
- No open P0 or P1 public-test blockers remain.
- Build 02.21 enters public testing with a stability, clarity, compatibility, and balance-feedback focus.
Known Limitations:
- Desktop-first test build.
- Mobile and controller support are not primary targets for this Web build.
- Balance remains subject to change during public testing.
